Sophie Stafford is based at our Broadmeadows office and appears in Melbourne and suburban Magistrates, County and Children's Courts in Victoria.
Sophie was admitted to practice in 2014 after graduating from La Trobe University with First Class Honours. Sophie joins us after gaining experience in criminal law, firstly, as a Legal Assistant for three years then as a solicitor for a suburban criminal firm, appearing in Court for summary and indictable matters. A founding member of Young Liberty for Law Reform, Sophie and a group of peers took an active part engaging in law reform and advocacy project under the guidance of senior Liberty Victoria members. Currently, Sophie dedicates her time as the Vice President and Secretary of Road to Refuge, a volunteer organisation that addresses the complexity of those seeking asylum. Sophie is motivated by achieving the best possible outcome for her clients and takes pride in maintaining attention to detail in her preparation and consideration and diligence in her appearances as a solicitor.
